The Indian tribes were many and spread over a very vast territory.

The interaction between different clans was rare. For this reason, each community has developed its own language related to tattooing.

Many times they were simple personal tribal symbols, or images formed by a series of symbols that tell traditions and stories.

Each symbol is associated with a meaning, jealously guarded among the various tattoo artists, or passed down between father and son.
